Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), a first grade unique Institution of higher learning, is an autonomous public institution with the general function of providing liberal higher education and research in Nigeria.
The University was established on April 23, 1990 under the old Oyo State with the name Oyo State University of Technology, Ogbomoso (OSUTECH). Upon the creation of the Osun State out of the Old Oyo State in 1991, the name of the University was changed to LadokeAkintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH).
The University was jointly owned by the Oyo and Osun States until November 20, 2020 when the University became solely owned by the Oyo State following a mutual agreement between the two states.
LAUTECH as a university and its staff has won many awards and accolades among which are:
- Best State University in Nigeria.
- Best University of Technology in Nigeria
- 11th best University in Nigeria in terms of research
- 74th best University in Africa in terms of research.
- 4th best university in Nigeria.
LAUTECH has a student population of about thirty thousand (30,000) and has more than three thousand (3,000) highly skilled and internationally acclaimed staff (academic, nonteaching and contract) in its employ.
The quality of staff has consistently reflected in the standard of works being done in LAUTECH. It has also reflected in the awards and laurels being won regularly by the University.
Today, LAUTECH offers varying degree programmes in twelve faculties of:

12. Renewable Natural Resources (Iseyin Campus)
DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES
- Direct Entry Candidates including those on LAUTECH JUPEB programme or other Institutions’ JUPEB programmes, who wish to be considered for admission for the 2020/2021 academic session in the university must have obtained Direct Entry form from JAMB to be eligible for the oral screening interview which date shall be announced soon. However, candidates are expected to forward their academic transcript to the Registrar, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso not later than Friday, October 16, 2020.
Candidates are to visit the admission portal of the University www.admissions.lautech.edu.ng to complete and submit their applications while ensuring strict compliance with admission requirements of the University before applying for any of its programmes.
ELIGIBILITY
- LAUTECH will admit only candidates who passed at credit level in at least five (5) relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB for UTME while the University accepts a minimum of Upper Credit and JUPEB/ A’ Level for Direct Entry candidates with five (5) credit passes in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB in the relevant subjects.
Candidates should carefully study the University Brochure as provided on the University website to guide them in completion of their application forms.

- Candidate who provides false information to secure admission to any programme of the University and upon discovery of such at any point in time will be prosecuted by law enforcement agencies and the admission of such candidate shall be withdrawn. Candidates are also advised to BEWARE OF FRAUDSTERS as the University will not be liable for any transaction with any unauthorized person.
